The Great Peace: A Long 19th Century

There was no Edward VIII to abdicate. Prince Albert Victor did not die ITTL and his line rules until 2022 when the then Queen died and passed the Crown to her son, who was of the Norweigan Glucksburgs.
What is OTL’s Edward VIII known for ITTL if his father didn’t become King of the United Kingdom?

Also, what are the origins of the Norwegian Glucksburgs ITTL, considering that Norway is still in a personal union with Sweden.

Being a British Royal Duke that undertakes the occassional royal engagement or governorship same as the grandsons of OTL George V would do later on OTL. He would have inherited the title of Duke of York from his father.

Branch of the family that settled in Norway after marrying into Norweigan nobility and inheriting lands in that country.

Question… how did this North Americandevelop? With the main divergences as no big wars after 1860… specifically the US had already taken pretty much all its modern borders by that time.

What were the butterflies here?
See my first post:
This is a timeline I've wanted to do for a while now and is my first timeline. It will consist of maps and maybe flags and wikiboxes of the world in a timeline that has not seen a major war between Great Powers since 1860s (though the actually PoD is as yet undetermined and will likely be between 1812 and 1830.) The first map is of Western Europe in the present day.
PoD still undetermined but definitley pre-1848.

Gotcha.

Still be an interesting write up for what stopped American colonialism. Texas and California were juicy targets for them… I can see an 1812 loss to Britain stopping Oregon expansion…though it might be hard to keep so many American settlers out from the European side of the Atlantic.

The butterflies are fun though. Looking forward to it.

American colonists still moved west but the greater state power of Canada/Britain and Mexico as well as their greater military might ITTL meant that most of the colonists that did make it out west and stayed while not having any government or company aid against native raids and disease were content to remain under Mexico and Canada and any revolts were quickly put down.
